hive connection refused

hi all,

i’m currently new using hortonworks and i want to ask a question. when i’m using hive, i did a query for ‘show databases;’ and ‘show tables;’ and it gave me list databases and list tables.
but, when using ‘select * from SomeTables;’ i got this error
Error: Error while processing statement: FAILED: RuntimeException java.net.ConnectException: Call From front1/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to front1:30000 failed on connection exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused; For more details see: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/ConnectionRefused (state=42000,code=40000)

i wonder why hive called to port 30000 (since i never configure something to port 30000), then i realized in webhcat-site.xml there are config templeton.hive.properties that fire to port 30000
i’ve fix that to port 9083 (according to default one that works) and restart the all hadoop service through ambari web interface
and did same query ‘select * from SomeTables;’ and still got the same error to port 30000
any clue why this happen ?

big thank’s for the help
