Hi there,
according to the HDP 2.1 release notes, HDP ships with Hue 2.3.0.
The HDP Sandbox 2.1 comes with Hue 2.3.1-385.
Are there any plans to upgrade Hue to a newer version (like 2.5 or 3.5)? How difficult would it be to manually install a newer version of Hue on HDP 2.1?
The version number 2.3.1-385 implies that HDP does not ship a vanilla version of Hue. Is the Hortonworks package of Hue patched to make it work with HDP? Unfortunately, I cannot find any information about the patch level in the release notes.
